Funding and Support for the 2005
Festival
Rather than applying endlessly for
grants and funding our aim for 2005 is to become financially
sustainable. Conway Hall costs £2000 to hire which
we have paid for with the money taken at the door and
from the stalls last year. This year we have some fund
raising events planned where we intend to sell raw food,
badges, t-shirts, books, brick a brac etc and play games
and generally funraise, so come along and say
hello at the following:
5th June at Camden Green Fair Regents Park
9th July at Somers town Festival, Phoenix Rd,
NW1
20-24 July at The Funky Raw Festival, Cornwall
3rd 7th August at the Big Green Gathering
We hope to raise enough money to pay
for stewards t-shirts, volunteer expenses, admin costs
etc.
A big THANK YOU to Ethical Juicers who in June
2005 offered to sponsor us the amount of £250
which we will use to pay towards the p.a. system so
now taping the talks on the day becomes a reality!
We would like to keep the momentum going after the festival
and find a base preferably in Camden where we could
hold raw food and various other workshops, music, dance,
all the things in the festival but spread out over a
longer time span. We have a volunteer working on raising
the initial funds for this. If anyone else would like
to help with fund raising or knows of any suitable properties
with a cheep rent let us know.
